What is sexual addiction?

Sexual addiction is a term used by modern psychology to describe sexual sin. Simply put, sexual sin is disobedience to God's command for our sexuality. When we engage in sin, we become controlled by it. Jesus Christ says, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin" (John 8:34). Paul says, "I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members" (Romans 7:23). The term "sexual addiction" is modern psychology's description for extreme lack of freedom from and subservience to sexual sin.
