What resources are available to help overcome it?
The person of Jesus Christ is the only effective resource available to overcome sexual sin. As we receive Him into our hearts, He employs four means to help us live out the victory He has won over sin.
These are:
- New life -- Our entire being is changed; we are "born again," given a new life like that of Jesus Christ in His resurrection, one over which sin does not have power.
- His Holy Spirit -- He lives within us by His Holy Spirit, teaching us, guiding us, correcting us, and giving us the power to live a life free from the bondage of sin.
- His word -- He has given us the Bible, His sufficient, complete word to teach us how to live the new life we have received from Him.
- His church -- He has given us other Christians with different gifts to encourage us, teach us, and build us up to living out continual victory over sin.
Lost and Found Ministries is one means by which the church of Jesus Christ, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and God's word, encourages and equips men to leave the false intimacy of sexual sin for genuine intimacy with Jesus Christ and others.
